The Challenge
Legacy on-prem POS systems were causing nightly reconciliation failures, costing operators £40k/year per multi-site brand. Hardware lock-in prevented switching, and integrations with delivery partners (Deliveroo, UberEats, JustEat) required manual ticket entry — adding ~3 minutes per order during peak service. We needed to build a category-defining cloud POS that worked offline, synced in real-time, and was provisioned for a new venue in under 10 minutes.
Our Approach
Multi-tenant SaaS architecture with row-level security; per-venue isolation with shared platform analytics.
Built an offline-first ordering layer using CRDTs so terminals continue accepting orders during connectivity loss and reconcile when back online.
Native Stripe Terminal integration for tap-to-pay on any iPad with Bluetooth-paired card readers.
Unified inbound order channel: Deliveroo, UberEats, JustEat and direct online ordering all land on the same kitchen display — colour-coded by source.
White-label theming engine so individual venues can brand customer-facing receipts, QR menus and order screens.
The Results
120+ venues onboarded in the first 9 months — 38% from competitor migration.
£0 hardware lock-in: operators run on existing iPads with off-the-shelf card readers.
99.99% uptime measured against a strict 1-second order acknowledgement SLA.
Average venue saves 14 hours/week previously spent on end-of-day reconciliation.
New venue provisioning reduced from 3 days to 9 minutes.
Restaurant POS is the system every hospitality operator wanted but no one had built. Logic Racks didn't just ship software — they shipped an operating model.
